Marble (pictured above), is a great choice as it keeps cool even when working with butter, chocolate or other melty ingredients. When you are choosing countertops and surfaces for a baking station, it’s important to choose the right materials for your prep area. A durable butcherblock surface can be used to roll out doughs. Open shelving allows you to store cookbooks and other appliances. The second level has a baking surface or countertop with more space.
